Hello! Recently, I met a colleague at Narita Airport and it reminded me how confusing it can be to travel. The Narita Express is actually pretty confusing because you must line up in different places depending on the size of the train. I am sure that it is very confusing for visitors to Japan. So, I would like to give you some expression so you can avoid getting confused when riding a train in a foreign country.

こんにちは！

最近同僚が日本に来た時に成田まで迎えに行ってきたら、

旅行で困った経験を思い出しました。

成田エクスプレスは結構混乱しますね。

その電車の長さによって、並ぶ場所が変わるからです。

海外から日本に尋ねる人にとっては結構大変だと思います。

今日は、皆さんが海外の電車に乗るための表現を紹介したいと思います。

Sentence 1: Excuse me. Where is my seat?

センテンス１：　私の席はどこですか？

Sentence 2: Where do I line up to get on the train?
センテンス２：　電車に乗るためにどこで並べばいいですか？

Sentence 3: Which platform do I go to?

センテンス３：　何番フォームに行けばいいですか？

I prefer to travel by train and one dream I have is to travel around Europe using a Europass. I think trains allow you to see more of the country and enjoy leisurely travel as compared with planes which seem to make people stressed out about missing them and always rushing to get on or get off. Next time you travel try to take it slow and enjoy the process.

私は交通手段として、電車のほうが好きなので、

いつかユーロパスを買ってヨーロッパを回って旅したいです。

電車は飛行機よりゆっくりできると思います。

飛行機に乗ると人々は結構乗り遅れを心配したり、

急いで乗ったり、降りたりします。

今度旅したときはゆっくりして

旅というプロセスを楽しめばいいと思います。
