Hello! Today I would like to continue with the theme from last time about spending time, but this time we will learn how to ask about what places people like. Today’s expressions relate to what part of a city a person likes and what you can do there. Let’s listen to today’s sentences! Don’t forget to repeat and practice them!

こんにちは！

今日はこの前のテーマを引き続いて、

人の好きな場所について聞くための表現を紹介したいと思います。

それで、町の好きな場所について聞いてから、

そこで何が出来るかというのも聞くことが出来ます。

では、今日の表現を聞いてみましょう！

Sentence 1: Where do you like to go out in Tokyo?

センテンス１：　東京のどの辺で遊ぶの好きですか？

Sentence 2: What do you like to do in Kichijoji?　

センテンス２：　吉祥寺で何をするのが好きですか？

Sentence 3: Do you have any favorite places in Kichijoji?

センテンス３：　吉祥寺の好きな場所はありますか？

Sentence 1 is our first question which we can ask to learn what area in a city someone likes. Then you can follow that with Sentence 2 to ask about what is fun to do in that area. Please notice the use of “in” for areas. Finally, you can ask about stores, restaurants, or any other place in that area. I think it is a lot of fun to ask people who know a lot about an area to get insider’s information on the best places. Try out these questions and I think you will find that you can follow them up with other questions to have an interesting conversation.

センテンス１を使えばだれかの町の好きな場所を聞くことが出来ます。

それを聞いてからセンテンス２を使えば、

その地域のいいところを聞けばいいと思います。

ここで前置詞の「in」に注目をしてください。

最後にセンテンス３は他のと違って、

その地域の店やレストランなどについて聞くことが出来ます。

私の意見では現地の人に一番いい店に聞くことがとっても楽しいです。
